Winnipeg Blue Bombers signs former St. Francis product Jermaine Ponder

On Wednesday, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed former St. Francis University defensive back Jermaine Ponder to a one-year contract.

Jermaine Ponder (27-years-old) tried out for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Houston Texans in 2019. He played in three preseason games in 2019 with seven tackles, one pass defended, and one interception.

Jermaine Ponder signed with the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent in 2018 from St. Francis University but was released.

Ponder played 35 games in four seasons (2015-18) for the Red Flash with 34 tackles, two interceptions, and 18 passes defended.
