On Thursday, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms acquired forward Adam Johnson from the Ontario Reign for future considerations, as first reported by InsideAHLHockey.com Tony Androckitis.

Adam Johnson (27-years-old) played 28 games for the Reign this year with one goal and five assists (6 points). Last year for the Reign, Johnson played 14 games with six goals and five assists (11 points).

Before joining the Reign in 2020, Johnson spent his first three seasons for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, scoring 40 goals and 69 assists (108 points). In 227 career AHL games, Johnson has 46 goals and 79 assists (125 points). Johnson also played 13 games for the Pittsburgh Penguins with one goal and three assists (4 points).

Johnson went undrafted in 2017 out of the University of Minnesota-Duluth. He played 81 games with 24 goals and 31 assists (55 points) and led them to the NCAA Championship in 2016 and 2017.

In 2016, Johnson scored six goals and 12 assists (18 points), helping the Bulldogs appear in the NCAA Frozen Four Tournament for the tenth time. In 2017, Johnson scored 18 goals and 19 assists (37 points), leading the Bulldogs to the NCAA Championship game when they fell to the University of Denver 3-2.

In the USHL, Johnson played 121 games with the Indiana Ice and Sioux City Musketeers with 46 goals and 73 assists (119 points). In the 2014-15 season, Johnson was named on the First All-Star Team.
