On Thursday, the Montreal Alouettes signed former Edmonton Elks defensive back Darius Williams to a one-year contract.
Darius Williams (23-years-old) played 14 games in 2021 for the Elks with 30 tackles, six special teams tackles, and one forced fumble.
“Darius is a young player with tremendous potential,” said Alouettes General Manager Danny Maciocia. “He had a good rookie season in Edmonton last year, and his best years are ahead of him, which is very encouraging.”
Williams played 41 games in four seasons (2016-19) at Carson-Newman University with 179 tackles, one sack, two forced fumbles, nine pass breakups, and eight interceptions.
