On Friday, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats re-signed wide receiver David Ungerer III to a one-year contract extension. This will be Ungerer’s third season in Hamilton.

David Ungerer (26-years-old) played 14 games in 2021, with 15 catches for 187-yards and one touchdown. The Tiger-Cats drafted Ungerer in the second round (11th pick) in the 2019 CFL Draft from Idaho. In 24 games, Ungerer has 17 catches for 231 yards and one touchdown.

Ungerer played 34 games in five seasons (2014-18) at Idaho with 116 catches for 1,225 yards, ten touchdowns, one carry for nine yards, and one touchdown.

On special teams, Ungerer returned 14 kick returns for 232 yards and 36 punt returns for 341 yards and one touchdown.
