On Wednesday night, the Reading Royals (24-12-6-1) ended a four-game losing streak against the Wheeling Nailers (27-19-1) at WesBanco Arena.

Reading Royals forward Kenny Hausinger scored a hat trick. His first goal came at 12:05 in the first period. Two minutes and twenty-one seconds later, Dominic Cormier scored a goal while Hausinger and Patrick McNally assisted the goal. The Royals led 2-0 after one period.

Hausinger scored his second goal for a 3-0 lead three minutes into the second period. Patrick Watling scored for the Nailers in the third period, ending the shutout 3-1. Finally, Kenny Hausinger scored an empty-net goal to get the hat trick for a 4-1 win.

The Royals finished the night with 37 shots, 0/3 on the power-play, and Logan Flodell made 27 of 28 saves.

The Royals are at the Indianapolis Fuel on Friday at 7 pm.
