The Reading Royals (25-12-6-1) were at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum Friday night against the Indianapolis Fuel (21-24-2-3).
Royals forward Trevor Gooch scored two of Reading’s six goals. Gooch, Brayden Low, and Thomas Ebbing put the Royals up 3-0 after one period.
In the second period, Bryan Lemos cut the Royals lead 3-1. However, at 16:25, Dominic Cormier scored to get the goal back to 4-1.
In the third period, Trevor Gooch scored his second goal at 2:08 to make it 5-1. At 10:23, Anthony Gagnon scored to make it 6-1. Fuel forward Spencer Watson scored a goal at 11:27 to make it 6-2. The Fuel were unable to make a comeback, and the Royals won 6-2.
The Royals finished the night with 26 shots, 1/5 on the power-play, and Logan Flodell made 24 of 26 saves.
The Royals will head to Huntington Center for two games against the Toledo Walleye starting tomorrow at 7:15 pm.
