On Tuesday, the BC Lions added wide receiver Alexander Hollins and running back Bruce Anderson III.
Alexander Hollins (25-years-old) was with the Cleveland Browns for two seasons (2020-21) on the practice squad. Before the Browns, Hollins was with the Minnesota Vikings and played five games with two catches for 46 yards.
Hollins went to college at Copiah–Lincoln Community College in Mississippi for the first two years (2015-16), catching 26 passes for 474-yards and five touchdowns in 17 games before transferring to Eastern Illinois (2017-18) with 126 catches for 1,784 yards, and 23 touchdowns. In 2018, he was named First Team All-OVC.
Bruce Anderson III (24-years-old) played three games for the Edmonton Elks in 2021 on special teams. He returned seven kickoffs for 170-yards.
In the NFL, Anderson signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent in 2019. He spent the next two seasons with the Indianapolis Colts practice squad.
Anderson played 52 games in four seasons (2015-18) at North Dakota State with 486 carries for 2,896 yards, 24 touchdowns, 32 catches for 448 yards, and seven touchdowns. Anderson had 52 kickoff returns for 1,360 yards and two touchdowns on special teams.
