The Reading Royals (29-12-6-1) won their sixth straight game Friday night at the DCU Center against the Worcester Railers (22-21-3-2).

In the first period, Royals forward Jackson Cressey scored at 12:56, putting the Royals up 1-0. Then at 15:16, Dominic Cormier extended the Royals lead to 2-0. With under three minutes left, Patrick Bajkov made it 3-0 Royals.

In the second period, Royals forward Brad Morrison made it 4-0 at 14:46. With under three minutes left, the Railers ended the shutout 4-1 on a goal by Mitchell Balmas. Then with eighteen seconds left, Garret Cockerill scored for the Royals, making it 5-1.

Worcester Railers forward Blake Christensen scored two goals in the third period, cutting the Royals lead 5-3. The Royals held on to a 5-3 win, sweeping the home and home series.

The Royals finished the night with 24 shots, 0/2 on the power-play, and Logan Flodell made 24 of 27 saves. The Royals return to the Santander Arena tonight against the Wheeling Nailers at 7 pm.
