The Philadelphia Stars selected ten players in the USFL Supplemental Draft on Thursday night. The Stars added more firepower and protection for quarterback Bryan Scott. On defense, the Stars grabbed a couple of linebackers and cornerbacks.

First-Round: Gunner Vogel (OL) Northwestern

Gunner Vogel (21 years old) tried out for the Cincinnati Bengals and Chicago Bears in 2021. He played four seasons (2017-20) for the Wildcats, starting 18 of 25 games.

In 2020, the Wildcats’ offense put up 16 rushing touchdowns and 162.8 rushing yards per game. The Wildcats’ offense finished the season with 360.7 yards per game.

Second-Round: Adam Rodriguez (OLB) Weber State

Adam Rodriguez (23-years-old) was with the TSL’s Blues in 2021. He played 52 games in four seasons (2016-19) at Weber State with 199 tackles, 22 sacks, ten pass breakups, one forced fumble, and three fumble recoveries.

Third-Round: Lene Maiava (OL) Arizona

Lene Maiava (29-years-old) played four games for the Los Angeles Wildcats (XFL) in 2020. In 2019, he started one game for the Arizona Hotshots (AAF).

 Maiava played 42 games in four seasons (2012-15) at Arizona. In his senior year, the Wildcats had three 600-yard rushers in the same season for the first time in school history. The Wildcats’ offense averaged 494.9 yards per game and 37.4 points per game.

Fourth-Round: Amani Dennis (CB) Carthage

Amani Dennis (23-years-old) played for the TSL’s Generals in 2021. Dennis played 29 games in three seasons (2016-18) with 100 tackles, 11 interceptions, 33 pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.

Fifth-Round: Artayvious Lynn (TE) TCU

Artayvious Lynn (25-years-old) tried out for the Dallas Cowboys in 2021. He played 34 games in four seasons (2017-20) for the Horned Frogs with 22 catches for 236-yards and two touchdowns. He missed most of the 2020 season due to an injury.

Sixth-Round: Chris Rowland (WR) Tennessee State

Chris Rowland (24-years-old) was on the Tennessee Titans practice squad in 2021. Before Tennessee, he played two games for the Atlanta Falcons with two kick returns for 53-yards.

Rowland played 41 games in four seasons (2016-19) at Tennessee State with 194 catches for 2,578 yards, 14 touchdowns, 55 carries for 319-yards, and one touchdown. On special teams, Rowland had 74 kick returns for 1,716 yards, one touchdown, and 19 punt returns for 971-yards.

In his senior year (2019), he broke Jerry Rice’s record (103 catches) with 104 catches for 1,437 yards and eight touchdowns. Rowland was named Deacon Jones Black College Hall of Fame Football Player of the Year and Ohio Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Year.

Seventh-Round: Gabriel Sewell Jr. (LB) Nevada

 Gabriel Sewell Jr. (24-years-old) tried out for the Denver Broncos in 2021. He played 49 games in four seasons (2016-19) with 282 tackles, 3.5 sacks, five pass breakups, four fumble recoveries, and two forced fumbles.

Eighth-Round: Ahmad Dixon (CB) Baylor

Ahmad Dixon (30-years-old) played for the Massachusetts Pirates (IFL) in 2021, winning the United Bowl. In 2020, he played for the Los Angeles Wildcats (XFL) with 44 tackles. Dixon also spent time with the Cowboys, Vikings, Bears, Dolphins, and Edmonton Eskimos.

Dixon played 50 games in four seasons (2010-14) with 288 tackles, one sack, four interceptions, and one touchdown.

Ninth-Round: Jahair Jones (OL) Miami

Jahair Jones (25-years-old) played ten games for the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League as an offensive lineman and defensive lineman. He made one tackle and won the 2021 All-Rookie Offensive Lineman award. Jones had a brief stint with the Edmonton Elks in 2021.

Jahair Jones played college at the University of Miami (2015-18) and appeared in twelve games, earning five starts at left guard.

Tenth-Round: Paul Terry (RB) Eastern New Mexico

Paul Terry (24-years-old) was with the TSL’s Generals in 2021. Terry played 43 games in four seasons (2016-19) for the Greyhounds with 644 carries for 3,525 yards, 32 touchdowns, and ten catches for 159-yards.
