Philadelphia Eagles signs Temple product DE Haason Reddick

The NFL Free Agency opened on Monday, and the Philadelphia Eagles made their first move by signing former Temple Owls defensive end Haason Reddick. The Camden, New Jersey native signed a three-year contract worth $45 million as reported by NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.

Haason Reddick (27-years-old) played 16 games in 2021 for the Carolina Panthers with 62 tackles, 11 sacks, and two forced fumbles in his first and only season with the Panthers under his former Owls coach Matt Rhule.

The Arizona Cardinals drafted Reddick the first round (13th pick) in the 2017 NFL Draft in Philadelphia, one pick ahead of the Eagles, who took Derrick Barnett.

Reddick played 31 games four seasons for the Cardinals with 255 tackles, 20 sacks, one fumble recovery, 15 pass breakups, and nine forced fumbles.

Reddick has played 80 games with 307 tackles, 31 sacks, and 15 pass blocks in his five-year NFL career. He’s started 16 games for the last five seasons.

At Temple, Reddick played 47 games in four seasons (2013-16) with 147 tackles, 18 sacks, one interception, seven pass breakups, four forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.

In his senior year, he First Team All-American Athletic Conference after making 65 tackles, 10.5 sacks, one interception, four pass breakups, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.
