Toronto Argonauts

The Toronto Argonauts signed former East Carolina Pirates defensive lineman Kendall Futrell and released veteran offensive lineman Jamal Campbell on Monday.

Kendall Futrell (24-years-old) was on the BC Lions practice squad in 2021 after trying out for the Cincinnati Bengals and Houston Texans.

Futrell played 40 games in four seasons (2016-19) at East Carolina with 119 tackles, 16 sacks, six pass breakups, four forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery. He was named Second Team All-AAC after his senior year.

Jamal Campbell (28-years-old) spent five seasons with the Argonauts after Toronto drafted him in the third round (22nd pick) in the 2016 CFL Draft from York University. Campbell played 59 games and helped the Argonauts win the Grey Cup in 2017.
