Winnipeg Blue Bombers signs former Hoosiers WR Whop Philyor

On Monday, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed former Indiana Hoosiers wide receiver Whop Philyor.

Whop Philyor (23-years-old) was briefly with the Minnesota Vikings practice squad in 2021. Philyor played 38 games in four seasons (2017-20) at Indiana with 180 catches for 2,067 yards, 12 touchdowns, and 21 carries for 134 yards.

In his junior year, Philyor became the seventh Hoosier in history to record 1,000 yards in a season and three double-digit reception games, which was a single-season record. He led the BIG 10 with 54 receptions for 495 yards and three touchdowns in his senior.

At the 2021 Outback Bowl, Philyor set an IU record and BIG 10 Bowl record with 18 catches for 81-yards.
