The Reading Royals (33-12-6-2) took care of business Wednesday night at the Norfolk Scope against the Norfolk Admirals (20-31-2-3) with a 4-2 win.
Royals Forward Trevor Gooch (23, 24) scored two goals in the game, while forward Brayden Low (14) scored a shorthand goal in the first period, and defenseman Garrett Cecere (3) scored in the second period. Scoring goals for the Norfolk Admirals were Greg Betzold (9) and Alex Tonge (25).
The Royals finished the night with 33 shots, 0/1 on the power-play, and Pat Nagle made 26 of 28 saves. The Royals return to the Santander Arena for three games against the Adirondack Thunder starting Friday night at 7 pm.
