The Ottawa Redblacks signed three players on Friday, including former Philadelphia Eagles running back Byron Marshall.
Byron Marshall (27-years-old) tried out for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 2021. Marshall played three games for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2016 with 19 carries for 64-yards and three catches for ten yards. He played ten additional games for the Washington Redskins, and Baltimore Ravens with 11 carries for 41 yards and ten catches for 66 yards.
Marshall played 42 games in four seasons (2012-15) at Oregon with 307 carries for 1,877 yards, 19 touchdowns, 97 catches for 1,293 yards, and eight touchdowns.
In addition to Marshall, the Redblacks signed former Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Justin Hardy and offensive lineman Kyle McCrorey.
Justin Hardy (30-years-old) tried out for the Chicago Bears in 2021. The Atlanta Falcons drafted Hardy in the fourth round (107th pick) in the 2015 NFL Draft.
He played 73 games in five seasons with the Falcons, catching 95 passes for 946-yards and nine touchdowns. On special teams, Hardy had five kick returns for 59-yards.
Hardy played 49 games in four seasons (2011-14) at East Carolina with 387 catches for 4,541 yards, 35 touchdowns, one carry for seven yards, and one touchdown.
Kyle McCrorey (25-years-old) played 30 games in three seasons (2016-18) at Southeastern Oklahoma State. He helped the running game with 1,600-yards and 18 touchdowns in his senior year. In McCrorey’s junior year, the offense allowed 12 sacks, while the rushing game had 1,900 yards, averaging 157.1 yards per game.
