BC Lions signs running back Wayne Moore

BC Lions

The BC Lions signed running back Wayne Moore on Tuesday, according to 3DownNation’s John Hodge.

Wayne Moore (30-years-old) returns to the Lions after playing 25 games in two seasons (2018-19) with 19 carries for 86 yards, seven catches for 91 yards, and 15 tackles on special teams. Shortly after signing a contract extension with the Lions in 2020, Moore was in a car accident and placed on the retired list. However, he is fully healthy and ready to return to the Lions.

The Montreal Alouettes drafted Moore in the second round (11th pick) in the 2016 CFL Draft. He spent his rookie year on the injury list and practice squad before the Alouettes released him following training camp in 2017. In 2018, Moore was with the Ottawa Redblacks in 2017 but was released in June 2018.

Moore played 35 games in four seasons (2012-15) at McMaster University with 367 carries for 2,068 yards, 15 touchdowns, and five catches for 38 yards. In addition, Moore had two kick returns for 44-yards on special teams.
