Hamilton Tiger-Cats adds former DC Defenders OL De’Ondre Wesley

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats added former DC Defenders offensive lineman De’Ondre Wesley on Thursday.

De’Ondre Wesley played three games for the Edmonton Elks in 2021. Before the CFL, Wesley played seven games in three seasons with the Baltimore Ravens (2015-17). Wesley also spent time on the practice squad of the Buffalo Bills and Indianapolis Colts.

In 2020, Wesley played five games for the DC Defenders (XFL) before the league shut down due to COVID.

The Antioch, California, native played one season at Diablo Valley College in 2012, where he earned All-Conference before transferring to BYU.

Wesley started 22 of 25 games in three seasons (2013-15) with the Cougars. In his senior year, BYU’s offense averaged 37.1 points per game. In 2014, Wesley was named College Sports Madness All-Independent First Team.
