Philadelphia Stars signs safety Evan Worthington and tight end Pro Wells

The Philadelphia Stars signed safety Evan Worthington and tight end Pro Wells on Friday. The Stars placed safety Jack Tocho and tight end Bug Howard on the reserved-did-not report list.

Evan Worthington (26-years-old) attended training camps for the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals. Worthington played four seasons at Colorado (2014-18) with 167 tackles, 15 pass breakups, two sacks, four interceptions, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 45 games.

Pro Wells (23-years-old) signed with the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent in 2021 but was released on August 16th. Wells played three seasons at TCU (2018-20) with 32 catches for 403-yards and eight touchdowns. In 2019, he was named Second-Team All-Big 12.

Jack Tocho (26-years-old) played four games with the Los Angeles Wildcats of the XFL in 2020 with two interceptions. In 2019, he played for the Birmingham Iron of the AAF with one interception.

The Minnesota Vikings drafted Tocho in the seventh round (245th pick) in the 2017 NFL Draft from NC State. Tocho was also with the Washington Redskins and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Tocho played 49 games in four seasons (2013-16) at NC State with 122 tackles, one sack, 26 pass breakups, and six interceptions.

Bug Howard (27-years-old) was with the Buffalo Bills in 2021 on their practice squad. Howard had stints with the Colts, Browns, Panthers, Broncos, and Jaguars.

Howard played 53 games in four seasons (2013-16) at North Carolina with 146 catches for 2,048 yards and 18 touchdowns. In 2019, he played for the Atlanta Legends of the AAF, catching 17 passes for 220-yards.
