The Reading Royals (39-16-6-2) were at Colisée Vidéotron for game two against the Trois-Rivieres Lions (28-28-4-1).

There were no goals scored in the first period. Five minutes and forty-nine seconds into the second period, the Royals took a 1-0 on a power-play goal by Frank DiChiara (14) with assists from Kenny Hausinger and Trevor Gooch.

In the third period, Royals forward Grant Cooper (6) made it 2-0 at 12:21 with assists from Mason Millman and Jacob Pritchard.

At 14:55, the Lions ended the shutout on a goal by Mathieu Gagnon (4) with assists from Julien Nantel and Nicolas Lariviere. The Reading Royals defeated the Lions 2-1.

The Royals finished the afternoon with 19 shots, 1/4 on the power-play, and Logan Flodell made 36 of 37 saves.
