On Wednesday, the Toronto Argonauts signed three players, including former Temple Owls wide receiver Isaiah Wright.
Isaiah Wright played 14 games for the Washington Football Team in 2020 with 27 catches for 197 yards and three carries for 16 yards. Wright had two kick returns for 30 yards and four punt returns for 15 yards on special teams.
The West Harford, Connecticut, native played four seasons at Temple (2016-19) with 91 carries for 552-yards, three touchdowns, 134 catches for 1,552 yards, and 12 touchdowns in 50 games.
Wright had 84 kick returns for 2,029 yards, two touchdowns, 43 punt returns for 444 yards, and three touchdowns on special teams. In 2018, he was named Sporting News First Team All-American, AAC Special Teams Player of the Year, and First Team All-AAC.
In addition, the Argonauts signed DB Deion Harris and DB Maurice Carnell IV.
Deion Harris recently played two games for the DC Defenders (XFL) with five tackles. In 2019, he was on the Washington Football Team (known as the Redskins) practice squad.
The Hibbing, Minnesota, native played four seasons at North Dakota (2014-18) with 107 tackles, 0.5 sack, nine interceptions, 38 pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and one block on special teams.
Maurice Carnell IV played one game for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 2019. In 2018, he was with the Toronto Argonauts for one week. The San Diego, California, native played 23 games in two seasons at North Alabama (2016-17) with 64 tackles, seven interceptions, 20 pass breakups, and one fumble recovery. Carnell played his first two years at Grossmont College in California (2014-15).
