On Saturday, the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship were on the streets of Long Beach, California, for the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach. The classes that competed in this race were DPi, GTD Pro, and GTD. The race was an hour and forty minutes.
Chip Ganassi Racing’s Sebastien Bourdais and Renger van der Zande were on the pole for DPi, while Corvette Racing’s Antonio Garcia and Jordan Taylor won the pole for GTD Pro. Finally, Paul Miller Racing’s Bryan Sellers and Madison Snow won the pole in GTD.
Meyer Shank Racing W/Curb-Agajanian Oliver Jarvis and Tom Blomqvist led 67 laps in DPi, the most in the race. However, they finished in fourth place. After a bad start from Sebastien Bourdais, Chip Ganassi Racing led 16 laps to win the race in DPi.
In GTD Pro, Heart of Racing drivers Ross Gunn and Alex Riberas led 60 laps to win the race. Finally, Paul Miller Racing’s Bryan Sellers and Madison Snow led 35 laps to win in GTD.
The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship heads to WeatherTech Raceway at Laguna Seca for the Hyundai Monterey Sports Car Championship Presented by MOTUL on Sunday, May 1st, at 3 pm on Peacock and NBC.
