On Thursday, the Calgary Stampeders signed former Nicholls State quarterback Chase Fourcade.
Chase Fourcade (24-years-old) played four games in 2021 for the Columbus Lions of the National Arena League. He completed six of fifteen passes for 57-yards and one touchdown.
Fourcade was a four-year starter at Nicholls State (2016-19) with 804-1,350 completions for 10,707 yards, 70 touchdowns, 47 interceptions, and 507 carries for 1,897-yards and 35 touchdowns.
He holds the record for passing yards (10,707), passing touchdowns (70), completion percentage (59.6), total yards (12,604), and rushing touchdowns (35).
Fourcade is a two-time All-Southland First Team, Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Year, and Southland Conference Player of the Year.
Chase Fourcade’s father, Keith, and his uncle John played at Ole’ Miss and the New Orleans Saints. His uncle John had a stint with the BC Lions in 1982.
