On Tuesday, the Calgary Stampeders re-signed Calgary native wide receiver Nick Statz.

Nick Statz (25-years-old) played 12 games in 2021 with three tackles on special teams. He was placed on the six-game injured list after Week 13 with a shoulder injury.

The Stampeders drafted Statz in the sixth round (55th pick) in the 2019 CFL Draft. He attended the Stampeders’ training camp but decided to return to the Dinos for his final season.

Statz played five seasons at the University of Calgary (2015-19) with 94 tackles, six interceptions, 22 pass breakups, three forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.
