On Wednesday, the Ottawa Redblacks signed former Southeastern Louisiana running back Devonte Williams and former Eastern Michigan offensive lineman Jeremy Hickey.
Devonte Williams (25-years-old) started his collegiate career at Indiana University (2015-16) with 48 carries for 167-yards and seven catches for 50-yards in 14 games. Williams had 49 kick returns for 988-yards on special teams.
The Columbia, Maryland, native transferred to Southeastern Louisiana (2017-18) with 222 carries for 892-yards, 12 touchdowns, 88 catches for 720-yards, and three touchdowns in 23 games. Williams had ten kick returns for 164-yards, 18 punt returns for 251-yards, and one touchdown.
Jeremy Hickey (26-years-old) played in The Spring League’s Aviators. Hickey played 39 games at Eastern Michigan (2014-18). In 2018, he started 12 of 13 games at left guard.
