HIGHLIGHTS: New Jersey Generals 10, Michigan Panthers 6

On Friday night, the New Jersey Generals (1-1) got their first win of the season at Protective Stadium in a 10-6 win over the Michigan Panthers (0-2).

New Jersey Generals quarterback Luis Perez went 13/19 for 97-yards and one interception. Generals’ backup quarterback De’Andre Johnson went 5/6 for 48-yards and ten carries for 27-yards.

Generals’ running back Darius Victor had 11 carries for 40-yards and one touchdown, and wide receiver Darrius Shepherd had five catches for 58-yards. The Generals’ defense had two sacks and four pass breakups.

Meanwhile, Michigan Panthers quarterback Shea Patterson went 14/29 for 124-yards. Panthers’ running back Stevie Scott III led the team with seven carries for 25-yards, and Marcus Baugh led the receivers with three carries for 38-yards. The Panthers’ defense had five pass breakups and one interception.

Next Sunday, the Michigan Panthers play the Pittsburgh Maulers at 2:30 pm on USA Network, followed by the New Generals battle the Philadelphia Stars next Sunday at 8 pm on Peacock. Tickets for both games can be purchased thanks to our friends at StubHub.
