On Sunday afternoon at Protective Stadium, the New Orleans Breakers (2-0) made a statement with a 34-3 win over the Tampa Bay Bandits (1-1).

New Orleans Breakers quarterback Kyle Sloter went 25/39 for 266 yards, two touchdowns, no interceptions, one carry for one yard, and one touchdown.

Breakers’ running back Jordan Ellis led in rushing with 21 carries for 64 yards, while wide receiver Jonathan Adams led in receiving with five catches for 92 yards. New Orleans’ defense had 34 tackles, four sacks, two interceptions, and six pass breakups.

Tampa Bay Bandits quarterback Jordan Ta’amu went 8/18 for 62 yards, no touchdowns, one interception, and four carries for 45 yards.

Bandits’ running back BJ Emmons was second in rushing with 14 carries for 39 yards and led in receiving with three catches for 29 yards. Tampa Bay’s defense had 47 tackles and seven pass breakups. Kicker Tyler Rausa scored the Bandits’ only points with a 22-yard field goal.

Next Saturday, the Tampa Bay Bandits play the Houston Gamblers at 4 pm on FOX, while the New Orleans Breakers battle the Birmingham Stallions at 8 pm on FOX. Tickets for those games can be purchased thanks to our friends at StubHub.
