Winnipeg Blue Bombers signs OL Leon Johnson and DT Kenneth Randall

On Monday, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed two local players with former Temple Owls offensive lineman Leon Johnson and Mainland High School graduate defensive tackle Kenneth Randall.

Leon Johnson (26-years-old) started one game with the Calgary Stampeders in 2021. The Plainfield, New Jersey, native played 45 games in four seasons at Temple (2014-17). Johnson is a two-time American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team (2015-16).

After Temple, he signed with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2018 and attended training camp. In 2019, Johnson played seven games, four of which were starts for the Salt Lake Stallions (AAF).

Kenneth Randall (27-years-old) signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent and attended training camp. The Atlantic City, New Jersey, native played three seasons at the University of Charleston (2015, 2018-19) with 116 tackles, nine sacks, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and two blocks on special teams in 30 games.

In 2019, Randall was named First Team All-MEC Honors after recording 64 tackles, seven sacks, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, three quarterback hits, and two blocked kicks on special teams in 11 games. In 2018 was named Second Team All-MEC Honors after recording 46 tackles and two sacks.
