On Saturday, the Tampa Bay Bandits (2-1) fought hard to a 27-26 win over the Houston Gamblers (1-2) at Protective Stadium.

Tampa Bay Bandits quarter Jordan Ta’amu went 21/36 for 255-yards, one touchdown, one interception, six carries for 29-yards, and one touchdown. Meanwhile, Bandits’ running back Juwan Washington led the team in rushing with 15 carries for 65-yards, and one touchdown, while Bandits’ wide receiver Derrick Dillon led in receiving with six catches for 124-yards and one touchdown. The Bandits’ defense had one interception and three pass breakups.

Houston Gamblers quarterback Clayton Thorson went 15/24 for 240-yards, two touchdowns, one interception, and one carry for three yards. Gamblers’ running back Mark Thompson led in rushing with 24 carries, 174-yards, and one touchdown, while wide receiver Anthony Ratliff-Williams had two catches for 85-yards and one touchdown. The Gamblers’ defense had three sacks, one interception, and seven pass breakups.
