On Sunday, the Repco Supercars Championship held races eleven and twelve at Wanneroo Raceway in Wanneroo, Western Australia.
In race eleven, Dick Johnson Racing driver Will Davison was on the pole. Cameron Waters, who started second, led 38 laps and was first to cross the finish line.
However, Waters was issued an unsafe re-entry penalty, handing the win to Will Davison. Waters finished fourth. For Davison, he snapped a six-year winless drought, and it was his 20th career win. There were five lead changes and three cautions for six laps.
The rest of the top ten finishers were Anton de Pasquale second, Andre Heimgartner third, Cameron Waters fourth, Shane van Gisbergen fifth, Brodie Kostecki sixth, James Courtney seventh, Broc Feeney eighth, Jake Kostecki ninth, and Todd Hazelwood tenth.
In race twelve, Shane Van Gisbergen started the race on the pole. The race was delayed for an hour after Garry Jacobson crashed hard into the wall, and it needed to be repaired. Once the race got going again, Will Davison lead 26 laps, the most in the race.
Late in the race, James Courtney was leading the race and lost the lead to Shane Van Gisbergen with seven laps to go. Gisbergen led the last seven laps to win the race over Courtney by 1.913 seconds. There were four lead changes and one caution for four laps.
The rest of the top ten finishers were Will Davison third, Anton de Pasquale fourth, Will Brown fifth, David Reynolds sixth, Cameron Waters seventh, Todd Hazelwood eighth, Andre Heimgartner ninth, and Tim Slade tenth.
The next Repco Supercars Championship race is May 21st and 22nd at Winton Motor Raceway for the Winton SuperSprint.
