The Edmonton Elks released wide receiver Martavis Bryant and linebacker Tyrell Robinson on Tuesday. Both players signed with the Elks in February.
Martavis Bryant (30-years-old) was with the Toronto Argonauts in 2021 and never played a game after being placed on the suspended list for not showing up to training camp.
The Steelers drafted Bryant in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft from Clemson. He played three seasons with the Steelers before being traded to the Oakland Raiders in 2018 for a third-round pick. Bryant played 44 games in four seasons with 145 catches for 2,183-yards, 17 touchdowns, 17 carries for 94-yards, and one touchdown.
Martavis Bryant played 37 games in three seasons (2011-13) at Clemson with 61 catches for 1,354-yards, 13 touchdowns, and one carry for 17-yards.
Tyrell Robinson (27-years-old) recently played for the San Diego Strike Force of the Indoor Football League. He also played for the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League and the Saskatchewan Roughriders. In college, Robinson played nine games in Oregon with three tackles in his freshman year. After Oregon, he transferred to Fresno State.
