The USFL has reached the midway point of the season, and the race to the playoffs is heating up. Week 5 begins on Friday night with the Michigan Panthers battling the Tampa Bay Bandits. On Saturday, the New Orleans Breakers take on the New Jersey Generals.

Week 5 wraps up on Sunday with a doubleheader. First, the Philadelphia Stars take on the unbeaten Birmingham Stallions, and the Pittsburgh Maulers battle the Houston Gamblers.
