Winnipeg Blue Bombers sign OL Brandon Sanford releases DB Robert Priester

On Tuesday, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed former UBC Thunderbirds’ offensive lineman Brandon Sanford and released defensive back Robert Priester.

Brandon Sanford (24-years-old) spent six years at UBC (2016-21). The Salmon Arm, B.C., native played 19 games for the Thunderbirds. Sanford attended the 2022 CFL West Regional Combine.

Robert Priester (28-years-old) played two games for the Blue Bombers in 2018 with seven tackles on special teams. In 2020, Priester played five games for the Tampa Bay Vipers (XFL) with nine tackles, one sack, and one interception.

The Tampa, Florida, native played three seasons at Wyoming with 103 tackles, one sack, one interception, 12 pass breakups, three forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in 35 games.
