On Wednesday night, the Reading Royals took one step closer to the Eastern Conference Finals with a 6-5 win over the Newfoundland Growlers at Mary Browns Centre.
Reading Royals’ forwards, Trevor Gooch and Brennan Saulnier scored two goals, while Patrick Bajkov and Frank DiChiara scored one goal.
Scoring for Newfoundland were Orrin Centazzo twice, Marc Johnstone, Noel Hoefenmayer, and Ben Finkelstein.
The Royals finished the night with 20 shots, 4/8 on the power-play, and Logan Flodell made 35 of 40 saves.
