On Friday night, the Tampa Bay Bandits (3-2) defeated the Michigan Panthers (1-4) 27-20 to start Week 5 at Protective Stadium.
Tampa Bay Bandits’ quarterback Jordan Ta’amu went 15/24 for 207-yards, two touchdowns, no interceptions, and nine carries for 27-yards.
Bandits’ running back Juwan Washington had 14 carries for 48-yards, and two touchdowns, while wide receiver John Franklin III had five catches for 81-yards and one touchdown. The Bandits’ defense allowed 407-yards, 65 tackles, three sacks, one interception, and five pass breakups.
Michigan Panthers’ quarterback Shea Patterson went 23/37 for 304-yards, one touchdown, one interception, and eight carries for 46-yards.
Panthers’ running back Reggie Corbin had 12 carries for 28-yards, while wide receiver Lance Lenoir Jr. had six catches for 86-yards. Panthers’ tight end La’Michael Pettway was second in receiving with five catches for 80-yards and one touchdown. The Panthers’ defense allowed 273-yards, 49 tackles, one sack, and four pass breakups.
