The Reading Royals could not close out the second round Saturday night at the Santander Arena in a 4-2 loss to the Newfoundland Growlers, forcing game seven.
Reading Royals forwards Kevin Conley (3) and Brad Morrison (2) scored the only goals for Reading. The players that scored for Newfoundland were Tyler Boland (11,12) twice, Ben Finkelstein (4), and Gordie Green (5).
The Royals finished the night with 22 shots, 0/3 on the power-play, and Pat Nagle made 20 of 23 saves.
