On Sunday afternoon, the Pittsburgh Maulers (1-4) picked up their first win of the season at Protective Stadium against the Houston Gamblers (1-4).

Pittsburgh Maulers’ quarterback Vad Lee went 19/32 for 170-yards, two touchdowns, one interception, and five carries for 20-yards.

Maulers’ running back Garrett Groshek had seven carries for 23-yards, while wide receiver Bailey Gaither had eight catches for 108-yards and two touchdowns. The Maulers’ defense allowed 291-yards, 52 tackles, one sack, one interception, and two pass breakups.

Houston Gamblers’ quarterback Clayton Thorson went 11/24 for 165-yards, one touchdown, one interception, five carries for 23-yards, and one touchdown.

Gamblers’ running back Mark Thompson had 17 carries for 80-yards, while wide receiver Isaiah Zuber had three catches for 72-yards and one touchdown. The Gamblers’ defense allowed 261 yards, 67 tackles, two sacks, one interception, and eight pass breakups.
