On Sunday afternoon at Protective Stadium, the New Orleans Breakers (4-2) defeated the Pittsburgh Maulers (1-5) 26-16.    

New Orleans Breakers’ quarterback Kyle Sloter was 13/21 for 92 yards and three carries for 14 yards. Breakers’ running backs Anthony Jones and Jordan Ellis combined for 35 carries for 149 yards, and two touchdowns, while wide receiver Taywan Taylor had five catches for 40 yards. The Breakers’ defense allowed 272 yards, with 63 tackles, one sack, two interceptions, four pass breakups, and one touchdown.

Pittsburgh Maulers’ quarterback Vad Lee went 17/34 for 198 yards, one touchdown, two interceptions, five carries for nine yards, and one touchdown. Maulers’ running back Madre London had ten carries for 50 yards, while wide receiver Bailey Gaither had two catches for 29 yards and one touchdown. The Maulers’ defense allowed 266 yards, with 80 tackles, three sacks, and two pass breakups.

Next week, the New Orleans Breakers take on the Michigan Panthers on Saturday at 9 pm on FS1, while the Pittsburgh Maulers battle the Birmingham Stallions on Sunday at 2 pm on FOX. Tickets for both games can be purchased thanks to our friends at StubHub.
