Jake Kostecki gets turned around during race 15 of the Pizza Hut Winton SuperSprint

The Repco Supercars Championship wrapped up the Pizza Hut Winton SuperSprint Sunday afternoon at Winton Motor Speedway.

Tickford Racing driver Cameron Waters started the race on the pole. He won race 13 and finished second in race 14. Meanwhile, Triple Eight Race Engineering driver Shane van Gisbergen started the race in second place. Shane van Gisbergen finished in second place in race 13 and won race 14. He led four laps but did not win the race.

Cameron Waters led 30 laps, including the last 13 laps, to win the race by .442 seconds over Shane van Gisbergen. It was Wasters’ second win of the season. There were no cautions and four lead changes.

The rest of the top ten finishers were Andre Heimgartner third, David Reynolds fourth, Will Brown fifth, Lee Holdsworth sixth, Broc Feeney seventh, Anton de Pasquale eighth, Mark Winterbottom ninth, and Will Davison tenth.

The Repco Supercars Championship’s next race is at Hidden Valley Raceway in Darwin, NT, for the Merlin Darwin Triple Crown on June 17th-19th.
