On Wednesday, the Michigan Panthers released number one pick quarterback Shea Patterson, while the Pittsburgh Maulers released quarterback Kyle Lauletta.
Both players were claimed. Shea Patterson is headed to the New Orleans Breakers, while Lauletta goes to the New Jersey Generals.
Shea Patterson (25-years-old) played six games and started in five games for the Panthers, completing 96 of 161 passes (59.6 PCT) for 973-yards, four touchdowns, five interceptions, 33 carries for 171 yards, two touchdowns, and was sacked 13 times.
In addition, the Breakers’ signed Tim Coleman (23-years-old) from Stone Mountain, Georgia. Coleman spent four seasons (2018-21) at Richmond, playing 37 games. He is a two-time Second Team All-Colonial Athletic Association. Before playing at Richmond, Colman played eleven games at Furman (2016) and was named Freshman All-America.
Kyle Lauletta (27-years-old) played four games, making two starts with 31-64 completions (48.4 PCT) for 269-yards, no touchdowns, no interceptions, and was sacked three times. Lauletta will backup Luis Perez after De’Andre Johnson suffered an injury last week.
The New Jersey Generals can clinch a playoff spot this weekend with a win against Tampa Bay and losses by Pittsburgh and Michigan.
