On Saturday afternoon, the New Jersey Generals (6-1) won their sixth straight game at Protective Stadium with a 20-13 win over the Tampa Bay Bandits (3-4). The win clinched the Generals a playoff spot in the North Division.
Generals’ quarterback Luis Perez was 19/25 for 174-yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions, while running back Darius Victor had 14 carries for 72-yards, one touchdown, and three catches for 19-yards. New Jersey wide receiver KaVontae Turpin caught two passes for 20-yards, and one touchdown, while kicker Austin Jones was 2/3 in field goals. The Generals’ defense allowed 302-yards, 61 tackles, three sacks, three interceptions, and eight pass breakups.
Bandits’ quarterback Jordan Ta’amu went 17/37 for 237 yards, one touchdown, three interceptions, and seven carries for 18 yards. Tampa Bay running back Juwan Washington had eight carries for 41 yards, while wide receiver John Franklin III had one catch for 20 yards and one touchdown. The Bandits’ defense allowed 261 yards, 75 tackles, two sacks, and one pass breakup.
