On Saturday night from Protective Stadium in Birmingham, Alabama, the New Orleans Breakers (5-2) beat the Michigan Panthers (1-6) in overtime, 31-27.
Breakers’ quarterback Kyle Sloter went 15/24 for 182 yards, two touchdowns, and two carries for three yards.
Running back Jordan Ellis had seven carries for 42 yards and three catches for 26 yards, while tight end Sal Cannella had four catches for 40 yards and one touchdown. The Breakers’ defense allowed 363 yards, 79 tackles, one sack, and eight pass breakups.
Panthers’ quarterback Josh Love was 17/36 for 173 yards and four carries for 16 yards while running back Cameron Scarlett had six carries for 43 yards and one touchdown.
Wide receiver Lance Lenoir Jr. had three catches for 47 yards, and kicker Cole Murphy went 4/5 in field goals. The Panthers’ defense allowed 313 yards, 59 tackles, one sack, and three pass breakups.
