Edmonton Elks signs former Argonauts linebacker Brady Sheldon

The Edmonton Elks on Tuesday signed former Toronto Argonauts linebacker Brady Sheldon. The 29-year-old from Novi, Michigan, played one game for the Argo’s in 2021 with three tackles. The Argonauts released him on Sunday.

Brady Sheldon played at Ferris State for six years (2011-16) with 111 tackles, 11.9 tackles for loss, one sack, 15 pass breakups, and one interception in 33 games. He helped the Bulldogs win back-to-back GLIAC Championships in 2015 with 43 tackles, seven tackles for loss, 12 pass breakups, and one interception.

Sheldon spent four seasons in the NFL, appearing in two games with the Oakland Raiders (2017), one for the Cincinnati Bengals (2019), and two games for the New York Jets (2020). In addition, he was on the Green Bay Packers practice squad.
