On Thursday, the Philadelphia Stars signed former East Carolina offensive lineman Justin Chase and former Temple offensive lineman Chris Perez.
Justin Chase (24-years-old) attended training camp with the Montreal Alouettes (CFL). The Chesapeake, Virginia, native started his collegiate career at NC State (2016-19), playing two games before transferring to East Carolina (2020-21), playing 20 games at left tackle.
Chris Perez (24-years-old) played two seasons at Shawnee Community College (2016-17) in his sophomore year, helping the Grizzlies to an 8-3 record and ending the season as conference runners-up. Perez is from Shawnee, Kansas.
Then, Perez transferred to Northern Illinois (2018-19), playing 20 games at left guard. In 2018, the Huskies running backs notched six 100-yard rushing games and were ranked in the top half of the MAC in rushing offense (166.9 yards/game), first downs (270), and red zone offense (82.1 percent). After NIU, Perez transferred to Temple (2020-21) and played 18 games at center.
