On Friday night at Legion Field, the New Jersey Generals (7-1) won their seventh straight game 29-18 over the Pittsburgh Maulers (1-7).
Generals’ quarterback Luis Perez went 18/24 for 220 yards and one touchdown, while running back Darius Victor had 17 carries for 83 yards and three touchdowns. Wide receiver KaVontae Turpin had five catches for 83 yards and one touchdown, while the Generals’ defense allowed 290 yards, 55 tackles, one sack, one interception, and six pass breakups.
Maulers’ quarterback Roland Rivers was 18/38 for 218 yards, one touchdown, one interception, six carries for 28 yards, and one touchdown. Wide receiver Isiah Hennie had six catches for 60 yards and one touchdown, while the Maulers’ defense allowed 379 yards and 71 tackles.
