On Wednesday night at Carey Stadium, the Ocean City Nor’easters (4-0-1) won their fourth straight game 2-1 over the Lehigh Valley United (0-4-1).

Both teams canceled each other out in the first half despite Ocean City pressuring Lehigh Valley United’s defense, and the game was scoreless 0-0. The action picked up in the second half.

After Ocean City committed a foul, Lehigh Valley United was awarded a free kick. Andrei Christian Galca Mitran scored from 20 yards out past Nor’easters goalkeeper Ben Martino’s right side for a 1-0 in the 65th minute.

Then, the Nor’easters stormed back to tie the game. Off a corner kick taken by midfielder Nick Pariono. Nor’easters defenseman Stevan Milosevic header the ball that set up another header by forward Nicolas Cam Orellena and into the net, tying the game 1-1 in the 71st minute.

Ten minutes later, the Nor’easters took the lead. Ocean City forward Nicolas Cam Orellena had two Lehigh Valley United players on him and chipped the ball past United goalkeeper Cameron Hall and into the net for a 2-1 lead. Alessandro Arlotti assisted Orellena’s goal. Orellena now has four goals this year, and the Nor’easters won the game, 2-1

The Nor’easters finished the night with 19 shots, three yellow cards, and goalkeeper Ben Martino allowed one goal and no saves.

The Nor’easters and Lehigh Valley United will meet again from Moravian College at 7 pm on Saturday.
