Philadelphia Stars signs Temple product Leon Johnson and Joshua Moon

On Wednesday, the Philadelphia signed former Temple offensive lineman Leon Johnson and safety Joshua Moon.

Leon Johnson (26-years-old) recently attended training camp for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He started one game for the Calgary Stampeders in 2021. The Plainfield, New Jersey, native played 45 games in four seasons at Temple (2014-17). Johnson is a two-time American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team (2015-16).

After Temple, he signed with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2018 and attended training camp. In 2019, Johnson played seven games, four of which were starts for the Salt Lake Stallions (AAF).

Joshua Moon (24-years-old) attended training camp in 2021 for the Seattle Seahawks. The Fairburn, Georgia, native signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent in 2019 but was released. He did not play football in 2020.

Moon played four years at Georgia Southern (2015-18) with 192 tackles, 1.5 sacks, five interceptions, 11 pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery. In his senior season in 2018, Moon had 71 tackles, 0.5 sacks, one interception, four pass breakups, and two forced fumbles. He graduated with a degree in Sport Management.
