On Wednesday, the Saskatchewan Roughriders released linebacker Michael Pinckney. The 24-year-old from Jacksonville, Florida, played one season in Saskatchewan with five tackles and one tackle on special teams in three games last season.

Michael Pinckney played four seasons at Miami (2016-19) with 267 tackles, 42 tackles of loss, 14.5 sacks, three interceptions, and one fumble recovery in 49 games with the Hurricanes. In his senior year, Pinckney had 64 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, and five sacks. He is a two-time All-ACC Honorable Mention (2017-18) and Freshman All-American (2016).

The Roughriders visit the Edmonton Elks this Saturday at 9:30 pm on ESPNews.
