On Wednesday night at MassMutual Center, the Springfield Thunderbirds shut out the Laval Rocket 4-0 in game seven of the AHL Eastern Conference Finals. The Thunderbirds will play the Chicago Wolves for the Calder Cup starting Sunday at 4 pm EST/ 3 pm CST.
Thunderbirds’ center Dakota Joshua (6,7) scored two goals, while Matthew Peca (5) and Nathan Todd (4) scored for Springfield. Thunderbirds’ goalie Charlie Lindgren made all 34 saves.
