On Saturday afternoon at Legion Field, the Birmingham Stallions (9-1) closed out the regular season with a 21-18 win over the Tampa Bay Bandits (4-6).
Stallions’ quarterback Alex McGough went 14/25 for 183 yards, one touchdown, one interception, 11 carries for 30 yards, and one touchdown. CJ Marable led the rushers with eight carries for 47 yards, one touchdown, and four catches for 39 yards, while Sage Surratt led the receivers with three catches for 60 yards. The Stallions’ defense allowed 285 yards, 56 tackles, four sacks, one interception, and nine pass breakups.
Bandits’ quarterback Jordan Ta’amu was 17/33 for 225 yards, two touchdowns, one interception, and led the rushers with four carries for 22 yards. Derrick Dillon led the receivers with four catches for 94 yards and one touchdown. The Bandits’ defense allowed 379 yards, 62 tackles, two sacks, two interceptions, and six pass breakups.
