The BC Lions signed former Atlanta Falcons running back Brian Hill on Monday. The 26-year-old) from St. Louis, Missouri, was on the San Francisco 49ers practice squad last year.
Hill spent five seasons in the NFL with Atlanta Falcons and Cincinnati Bengals. He had 209 carries for 982 yards, three touchdowns, 38 catches for 313 yards, and one touchdown in 48 games.
In college, Hill played three seasons at Wyoming (2014-16) with 775 carries for 4,287 yards, becoming the school’s all-time rushing leader, 35 touchdowns, and 41 catches for 403 yards in 37 games. In 2015, he was one of eleven semifinalists for the Doak Walker Award (top running back in college football).
Hill scored a touchdown in the 2016 Poinsettia Bowl, but the Cowboys lost 24-21 to BYU. In his final two years at Wyoming, he was teammates with current Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.
