On Sunday night at Legion Field, the Houston Gamblers (2-7) beat the New Orleans Breakers (6-4) in the final regular season game, 20-3.
Gamblers’ quarterback Kenji Bahar went 14/22 for 100 yards and six carries for six yards. Benny LeMay led the rushers with 14 carries for 70 yards and led the receivers with three catches for 26 yards. The Gamblers’ defense allowed 116 yards, 70 tackles, four sacks, two interceptions, two pass breakups, and one touchdown. Kicker Nick Vogel made two field goals.
Breakers’ quarterback Shea Patterson was 9/15 for 36 yards, while Zach Smith was 5/8 for 28 yards and two interceptions. Jordan Ellis led the rushers with ten carries for 32 yards, and Anthony Jones led the receivers with three catches for 16 yards. The Breakers’ defense allowed 168 yards, 57 tackles, two sacks, and one pass breakup. Kicker Taylor Bertolet made one field goal.
